Hmmm ....wrote this not to offend any people or any institution. I just want to write my opinion about a place that we called "office", "kantor", "work place","factory",etc.
Semasa masih bersekolah, dari kita TK sampai SMA mungkin itulah yang disebut belajar. belajar apa saja. But mostly for me, it's such a place for learning how to live together in a community. how we try to be a social being. creatures that cannot live alone and always need help from others. that's why Allah creates billions people on the earth.
I feel that since i was graduated from my college, i entered a new atmosphere of living. i felt like an alien who has been sent to explore a new planet. when i have new obligation to earn money for living, to feed my life and my mom's, yeah that's the time when i MUST work.
I thought it would be the same like the days when i was only live by learning and haven't accepted any payment from my works instead of transferred some amount of money for education fee.
Nggak. ini sama sekali beda. kalo kamu udah kerja, ya ini artinya kamu harus berhadapan dengan manusia yang udah bermutasi. haha! ya let's say mutasi. karena mereka udah terbentuk dengan sedemikian rupa selama belasan tahun proses mereka belajar, hidup, dan bergaul dengan banyak orang di kehidupan mereka sendiri. And.. voila! WE FINALLY MEET THEM!
the first time i worked was on one of the biggest education institution. that place is currently famous for its method. continual learning. they are specialized on mathematics and English. I worked as instructor's assistant of English subject. i stayed on that job for about 9 months.
i was very enjoying of working there. i resigned because i had to finish my mini-thesis. there, i met a new species of worker. she was in her early 30 i guess. she was my senior in that place. she's already worked there for more than 3 years. no wonder if her face was looked like the "inhibitor" of that institution.
she was kind of perfectionist woman. she wanted all works are done with her standard. standard that I thought was very expired. quite horrible when you stay on one room with her. because she will control every move you make. if she catches any mistakes which are done by you, the next day you will be called by the boss. suddenly you have no idea why are you being blamed.
of course she's also over-exposed every inches of your fault. exaggerating over things. and thanks Allah i have resigned from that place. you know what? it was great to work there. the boss was very kind. she's generous. but unfortunately, the crew isn't as good as her.
That's okay. God creates different people to make us learn what empathy is.
