Lazy Facebook-ing

after 4 years I've been joining Facebook, lately I feel that this place is quite boring.
i have many things to tell on my mind. and while I speak those shits up, people's reactions are quite weird.
hey i'm not a public attention's seeker. I just wanna express and tell the world what inside my brain.
When they react just "oh, okay.." or they just click thumb icon, well, that's not quite annoying. But how people act like they are the judges. Whoaaa...that's quite make me feel SO DISTURBED.

thanks God, I have twitter. I can say what i wanna say. I can type what's in my mind. Nobody reacts in over-dose style. Nobody will comment in a "rempong" way. Just feel free to tweet, like a bird in the happy morning. :)

So, I don't leave my Facebook account. I sometimes still update my status. Yeah, it is random thoughts. Coz what's in my mind has been thrown on Twitter. And yet, I'm not a follower-seeker. Feel free to follow and unfollow. Easy, right?

Study Visit to Tofu and Tempe Home Industry

Minggu kemarin, hari Rabu tanggal 21 April 2011. Aku bersama murid-murid kelas 4 mengikuti program Outdoor Learning k Industri Tahu dan Tempe. Tepatnya di desa Sepande kota Sidoarjo.

I was so excited on that learning. Coz I finally could see ow tofu (which is my favorite food) is being made. It takes about an hour from the school to that village. I thought t was quite far to have a trip with an old car. It was the car that usually used to pick up and drop off the students to their homes. I t would be faster if it was taken by motorcycle.

After an hour trip, me and my students arrived at Sepande village. It is more like my kampung in Kenjeran. Not wide, yeah I call it NARROW. So if there are two cars will pass by, one of them must stop in order to let the other takes the way first.

The cars parked on Balai Desa or Village's Hall. We ought to ask permission to the Head of Village before we do an outdoor learning. 90 students and six teachers wasn't a good composition. So I tried my best to lead my 12 girls to go. One of my friend did the briefing and explained shortly about or plan and what they must do to complete the tasks. Each of them  were given a piece of paper and there are several questions that they should ask to the sources.

First, me and my students went to the Tofu Factory. It is a small industry, with 9 workers there. The appliances they use to make tofu are still traditional. One grinder, and I saw a chimney. It seemed that they use a fireplace to cook the tofu batter. They put some wood waste into the fireplace, then the fog comes out from the chimney.

The ingredients to make Tofu is quite simple. You need soybean, water, and special vinegar to make Tofu. The vinegar is made of coconut water, sugar, salt, and a little bit cooking-vinegar. Before the process begins, the soybean must be washed. After being washed, it is soaked for about 3-4 hours.

When the soybean is getting flabby, the soybean is ready to put into the mill. It is milled until become more like a porridge. Then it is filtered. The cleanness of the porridge is important to make a high quality tofu. Then it is kept in a big basin for an hour. After that, the tofu vinegar and water are added and the porridge is stirrred again.

While waiting until the fluid and the tofu porridge separated, the fireplace is set by the other workers. When the fluid and the the porridge has been separated, the fluid is thrown out. The MOLD to form tofu like bricks are ready. The unique of this mold, it is made of WOODS. And it has been divided into few sections or few small bricks shape. So, the workers must form one by one on each part. With the other thing to help it is....a very thin white cloth! Wow! Extraordinarily TRADITIONAL :))

The workers work from 4 AM until 3 AM. THAT'S A "WOW" for me. They are paid 55 thousand rupiah a day. They works in shifts. Owww....

Soul
